YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, in plain English.

This notice describes the information used when you visit this website or contact Hope & Harbour. For privacy enquiries, email enquiries@hopeandharbour.co.uk.

Published 7 September 2026.

Who to contact

Hope & Harbour is the name used for this consultancy website. Our stated location is Holsworthy, Devon. Contact enquiries@hopeandharbour.co.uk about the use of your information.

Information you provide

When you enquire, we receive your name, email and message, together with any company, telephone, property location, service and optional discovery-source details you choose to supply. The enquiry also identifies the service or area page from which you started. Please only provide information needed for the discussion and do not submit classified or sensitive site information.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to understand your request, respond, prepare a proposal and manage the resulting correspondence. Depending on the relationship, this is necessary to take steps towards an engagement you request or for our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. We also use aggregate counts of enquiry sources, services and areas to understand which information helps people find us. These reports exclude names, contact details and message text. We do not add enquirers to a marketing mailing list.

Website operation and security

Our hosting server records technical information such as IP addresses, request paths and errors for operation and security. Form protection temporarily uses a hashed IP identifier to limit repeated submissions. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party embedded content. Website fonts and images are served from our own site.

Storage and service providers

Enquiries are transmitted through our hosting and email services. Those providers process information needed to operate the service. A private server copy may be retained temporarily to help investigate delivery problems; it is not publicly accessible. Access should be limited to people handling the enquiry and maintaining the service.

Retention

Temporary server copies are removed after 30 days and form rate-limit records after 24 hours. Enquiry correspondence should be reviewed within 12 months of the last meaningful contact and removed when no longer needed, unless an engagement or another applicable requirement provides a reason to retain it. Records relating to paid work are covered by the arrangements agreed for that engagement.

Your choices and rights

You may ask about access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, and about restriction or objection where applicable. Contact us using the email above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We update this notice when the way the website handles information changes. The publication date is shown above.
